Thank you for helping make Clothing Swap 2026 a welcoming, organised, and fun experience for everyone attending. Your role is to help the event run smoothly, keep the space organised, and create a positive atmosphere for guests.

Event Goal

This is a curated clothing swap focused on sustainability, community, and style. Guests bring quality pre-loved clothing and exchange items using a token system.

Our goal is to make the experience feel:

  • Organized

  • Fair

  • Friendly

  • Boutique-inspired

  • Low stress and enjoyable

Volunteer Roles

Check-In Team

Responsibilities:

  • Welcome guests

  • Review items for quality

  • Count approved items

  • Hand out swap tokens

  • Answer basic questions

  • Send folks who haven't paid the entry fee to the check out desk ($10 + tax)

Please ensure items are:

✔ Clean

✔ In good wearable condition

✔ Free from stains, damage, or strong odours

Check-out Team

Responsibilities:

Floor Team + Runners/Category Helpers

Responsibilities:

  • Keep racks organized

  • Return misplaced items to the correct sections

  • Help guests navigate the space

  • Prevent crowding or item hoarding

  • Maintain a calm and positive atmosphere

  • Encourage guests to be respectful and mindful while shopping.


Fitting Area Responsibilities:

  • Keep fitting areas tidy

  • Return unwanted items to racks

  • Monitor line flow if needed

  • Help maintain privacy and comfort


Closing & Donation Team

Responsibilities:

  • Sort leftover items

  • Bag donations

  • Help with clean-up

  • Reset the space

Any remaining clothing at the end of the event will be donated.

Important Event Guidelines

  • One approved item = One token

  • Guests may bring a maximum of 10 items

  • Volunteers should remain neutral and fair during item approval

  • Be kind, calm, and solution-focused if issues arise

  • If a situation feels uncomfortable or escalates, notify the event organisers, Aida or Elena 

Volunteer Tips

  • Keep energy welcoming and upbeat

  • Guests may feel nervous — friendliness matters

  • Organisation throughout the event makes a huge difference

  • A tidy rack encourages more swapping

  • Have fun with it!
